Registration Form

Do you have a vintage sewing machine (Bernina, Husqvarna, Elna, or Pfaff) in need of restoration?
Use the form below to submit an inquiry.

IMPORTANT UPDATE – AUTUMN 2026
Due to demand exceeding our capacity (while other repair technicians have available capacity), we will now be more selective. We will prioritize machines and technical issues that likely will not be solved unless we take them on, and refer jobs/machines that we know other local technicians handle well.

How it works:

  1. Check local repair shops first: Before contacting us, we kindly ask that you check with local repair technicians or dealers first.
  2. Fill out the form accurately: The more specific information you provide, the better basis we have to evaluate your inquiry.
  3. Within a week, you will receive one of three responses:
YES: We will take the job and place you on our waitlist.
NO: We cannot take on the job ourselves, but we will provide our best recommendations for who to contact.
MAYBE: Based on your description, we have an idea of what the issue might be, and will offer specific advice on things you can try yourself (first).

HOW WE WORK

Service/repairs performed in accordance with the Craftsman Services Act and the Consumer Purchases Act.

  • Professional workmanship with a 2-year warranty

To make an environmental difference, we put our heart and soul into restoring immortal vintage sewing machine quality back to as close to mint condition as possible, ensuring decades of future life. In addition, we offer advanced component-level repair and sewing machine electronics servicing.

Our goal with every restoration project is to optimize functionality and lifespan in compliance with the original specifications, the manufacturer’s service manual, and applicable statutory standards. Every restoration concludes with an extensive test sew. The final test swatch remains under the presser foot and serves as our written documentation of the machine’s condition upon return.

We cannot guarantee that aged sewing machines will remain entirely fault-free after restoration, but we guarantee that we will be right here and go above and beyond, primarily over the next two years, to fix any issue that might arise.

  • Wait times

Due to limited capacity, we reserve the right to prioritize jobs continuously. While we do not commit to an exact timeframe, our ideal goal is to call in machines within 3 months of confirming the request.

  • Call-in notice

Call-in notices are sent via SMS.
Our opening hours for drop-off and pickup are Tuesday–Thursday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM by appointment.

  • Machine drop-off

All machines must be dropped off in person at Strømmen (we no longer accept machines sent by post).

  • Opening hours don't suit your schedule?

Please contact us to arrange an extension or alternate arrangement. Drop-offs can be completed using our outdoor secure locker, but pickups are strictly handled in person during opening hours. If we do not hear from you within the deadline, we will not send additional reminders and your order will be placed on hold.

  • Work inspection

Our job is not complete until you have test-sewn on the machine and informed us of any issues. You are required to do this within 2 weeks of receiving the machine.

  • Transparent pricing and payment

A final price cannot be established until we have inspected and assessed the machine. However, to provide an estimate, our restoration projects for Bernina, Husqvarna, and Elna typically range between NOK 3,000 and NOK 5,000 incl. VAT.

  • Price estimate

Once the machine has been inspected, we will send you an SMS with a cost estimate, which you must approve before we proceed.

  • Cancelled jobs

If you choose not to proceed with the restoration after receiving the estimate, you can either pay a NOK 500 inspection fee or relinquish the machine to us for spare parts.

  • Unclaimed machines

After 2 weeks, unresolved or uncollected machines will be forfeited to us as parts machines.

  • Warranty claims on completed work must be reported to us immediately and within 2 years at the latest

Following a reported warranty claim, you have 2 weeks to drop off the machine for inspection and rectification.

Discovery of unrelated defects: If the inspection reveals that the fault is not related to our previous workmanship, but is an entirely new issue, we will still repair it. In that case, you only pay for any new replacement parts required.
